About the role:

The Principal Professional Education Specialist for SESMIQ IVL Technology is responsible for the strategic development, execution, and oversight of integrated medical education strategies and tactical program delivery to ensure the safe and effective use of Boston Scientific’s Vascular Therapies technologies, with a focus on the IVL portfolio in the United States.

This role designs and delivers best-in-class training and education programs for physicians in practice and training, allied health providers, and healthcare administrators through innovative, peer-to-peer, multi-modality education approaches that enhance patient care and clinical outcomes.

At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Engage physician and allied health professional thought leaders in the vascular space to develop world-class medical education programs in the United States.
  • Contribute to the development of HCP blended learning journeys for new and commercialized product technologies in collaboration with cross-functional partners, skills training managers, and digital education strategists.
  • Collaborate with the Boston Scientific Research and Development teams to evaluate the tools and techniques used to facilitate training.
  • Identify and implement strategies to address the educational needs of customers aligned with Boston Scientific technologies.
  • Build relationships with field leadership and representatives to address regional educational needs aligned with commercial strategic priorities.
  • Develop and maintain internal and external relationships at all levels to achieve divisional, departmental, and initiative goals.
  • Deliver white-glove customer service and responsiveness for all physician, field, and internal stakeholders. Maintain processes and task management habits that ensure flawless execution.
  • Develop strategic relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to build a robust pipeline of diverse clinical faculty for various program types and training opportunities.
  • Track KPIs to evaluate team output and program impact. Identify areas of improvement and new opportunities to meet organizational goals. Implement solutions and make recommendations to management to improve performance and impact.
  • Ensure best-in-class medical education program quality through direct oversight and post-program analysis of evaluation data.
  • Oversee and participate in the development, delivery, coordination, review, and assessment of all aspects of the medical education curriculum to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Ensure physician activities and programs are conducted in accordance with Boston Scientific compliance policies.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications:

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree and a minimum of 8 years' experience in medical education, marketing, clinical, or sales.
  • Ability to effectively manage simultaneous priorities and deadlines while communicating regularly with the Professional Education Manager.
  • Ability to lift and move large pieces of equipment.
  • Ability to travel up to 35% to scientific conferences, hospitals, and/or other BSC facilities.
