R&D Engineer II / Process Engineer II (Contract)

Location:

Maple Grove, MN (Contract)

Rate: $40-$49 per hour (negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors).

• Partner with R&D to develop design specifications, draft test methods, and drive material selection.
• Provide Design for Manufacturability (DFM) input and develop innovative processes, tooling, and automation.
• Lead process development and oversee development builds and initial production builds for new products.
• Assess process capabilities, implement improvements, and ensure efficient product transfer into production.
• Prepare and present technical data and recommendations to stakeholders to influence business decisions.
• Ensure compliance with quality system requirements through proper documentation and validation protocols.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Biomedical, or related field).
• 2–4 years of experience in process development and product commercialization.
• Strong engineering fundamentals with proven ability to develop innovative solutions for processes and products.
• Demonstrated experience collaborating cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced, regulated environment.
