R&D Test Technician
The R&D Test Technician will support the engineering team in the hands‑on build, assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of medical devices and associated fixtures. This role is critical to ensuring high‑quality prototype builds, precise test execution, and reliable documentation in support of design verification, process validation, and product development activities.
Ideal candidate: experienced, detail‑oriented technician comfortable working in a regulated medical device environment, able to collaborate effectively with engineers, quality professionals, and manufacturing teams.

- Build and assemble medical devices and associated fixtures.
- Perform testing and troubleshooting of prototypes.
- Ensure high‑quality prototype builds and precise test execution.
- Document and support design verification and process validation activities.
- Collaborate with engineers, quality professionals, and manufacturing teams.
- 1‑2-year technical degree or certification in mechanical, electrical, biomedical, or related engineering technology field.
- 3+ years of experience in medical device companies in R&D, engineering, testing, or manufacturing support roles.
- Strong proficiency with hand tools, measurement tools, fixture assembly, and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Experience performing documented testing in a regulated environment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, test methods, schematics, and work instructions.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and documentation accuracy.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work both independently and within cross‑functional teams.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience building electro‑mechanical devices or systems.
- Familiarity with tolerance stack‑ups, GD&T, and basic machining or 3D printing.
- Experience with data acquisition tools, test instrumentation, or scripting for automated testing.
- Experience with labeling software, label design, and packaging redlining.
This position requires 100% on‑site work. The technician will work independently, reading test methods and completing tasks. Testing will be conducted on capital equipment, underwater, and on single‑use devices. The work involves a regulated medical device environment, requiring attention to safety and compliance standards.

Pay and BenefitsPay range: $30.00 – $40.00/hr.
