About the Role:At Boston Scientific, as part of the External Operations team supporting Sourced Finished Medical Devices in the IC/PI division, the Supplier Engineer III assists with the design and development of manufacturing processes, equipment, and systems to meet manufacturing delivery targets, minimize costs, and ensure product quality at BSC Finished Good Suppliers.
YourResponsibilities Include:
- Sustaining activities at suppliers for Capital Equipment and associated accessories
- Collaborating with suppliers and extended team for investigation of device issues or supply constraints through use of problem‑solving, process capability studies, Six Sigma and Value Improvement projects, data analytics and/or process documentation.
- Supporting and/or leading projects for product qualification, change management, process development, cost reduction, capacity management, and allrelateddocumentation activities
- Collaborating with cross‑functional teams to qualify and improve supplier processes;submitand manage manufacturing change requests,as necessary
- Communication of status,project updates, key findings, etc. to stakeholders
- Ensuringcorrectiveactions are identified,implemented and controlled by suppliers
Required Qualifications:
- 3+yearsofexperiencein engineering role, preferably in a manufacturing environment, supporting Capital Equipment/electronics manufacturing
- Ability to travel up to 20% (domestic and/or international)
- Experience working in regulated industry, specifically working with suppliers and/or contract manufacturers
- Strong electrical engineering or electronics background
- Interpersonal skills with ability to develop internal and external relationships
- Organized and detail‑oriented; ability to prioritize and manage multiplecomplexprojects
- Strong knowledge baseofstatistical methods, problem‑solving techniques,lean manufacturingandsix sigma methodologies
- Understanding of validation, risk management documentation(Design and Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis and Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis),and product lifecycle
Requisition
Minimum Salary:$76000
Maximum Salary: $144400
The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) – see — will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs.
At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.
Compensation for non‑exempt (hourly), non‑sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
