Overview
The City of Maple Grove is seeking a Skating School Instructor to teach Learn to Skate USA elements to participants in a group setting. This position promotes a positive learning environment and helps participants develop their skating skills and confidence. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Skating Director.
Responsibilities- Teach Learn to Skate USA elements to groups in accordance with curriculum and participant needs.
- Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment and emphasize participant safety.
- Assist with lesson planning, progress tracking, and reporting under the Skating Director's guidance.
- Experience teaching or coaching skating is preferred.
- Knowledge of Learn to Skate USA curriculum and safety standards.
- Strong communication skills with participants and parents.
