Forklift Operator II

Overview

Forklift Operator II is responsible for operating-cross‑section material handling equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. The operator maintains safe and efficient operation of forklift equipment and may also perform order filler or order checker duties. Operates sit‑down/stand‑up, clamp, cherry, and reach equipment with forklift certification on at least three pieces and spends 50% or more of their time operating this equipment in a rack warehouse environment.

• Stacks and stores merchandise in designated areas using sit‑down/stand‑up, clamp, cherry, or reach equipment.
• Unloads inbound shipments safely and moves product to storage locations.
• Pulls and prepares products for shipment.
• Ensures the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped.
• Performs picking duties efficiently while meeting customer‑service standards.
• Moves product from staging and/or storage areas into trailers.
• Operates all equipment safely and efficiently following prescribed work methods.
• Maintains records and reports to guarantee inventory control and security.
• Assists in physical inventories and ensures proper stock rotation.
• Conducts cycle counts as requested.
• Uses Excel and general computer knowledge.
• Understands basic safety in operating equipment and reports concerns to management promptly.
• Reports inventory discrepancies to the inventory‑control teamนี่และ assists in resolution.
• Completes inspection forms prior to operating equipment.
• Uses RF scanning equipment to ensure inventory accuracy.

• High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• At least 1 year of forklift experience and/or warehouse distribution equipment use.
• Ability to stand/walk for 10–12 hours and lift or pull 50 lb. without restriction.
• Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching both below the waist and above the head.
• Works in facilities over a quarter mile in length, with variable noise levels, lighting, and temperature.
• Ability and availability to work irregular or extended hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Attention to detail, excellent customer‑service skills, and basic math skills.
