Financial Analyst

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytically strong Financial Analyst to support Gotion’s financial planning, analysis, reporting, and business decision support functions for our Manteno facility. This role is ideal for a candidate with a Master’s degree in Finance/Business/Economics or related discipline or someone with 1–3 years of relevant financial analysis experience
.

The Financial Analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams including FP&A, operations, accounting, and business leadership to provide accurate financial insights that support strategic initiatives and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and forecasts.
• Build, maintain, and enhance financial models to support budgeting, planning, and scenario analysis.
• Perform variance analysis to explain financial performance against budgets/forecasts.
• Assist in cost analysis and identification of opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization.
• Support annual budgeting and periodic reforecasting processes.
• Collaborate with functional partners to provide financial insights that drive business decisions.
• Prepare presentations, dashboards, and executive summaries for leadership.
• Assist in ad-hoc financial and business analysis projects as required.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration (MBA), Economics, or related field OR
• Bachelor’s degree with 1–3 years of financial analysis/related experience
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial functions);
  PowerPoint proficiency
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred (but not required):

• Financial modeling or FP&A experience
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) or BI tools
• Manufacturing or energy sector exposure

Suggested Compensation (Manteno, IL area)

Entry / Early Career (0–3 yrs): $65,000 – $85,000 base annually

Base pay is one part of our total compensation package at Gotion, and is determined within a range. This provides you with the opportunity to progress as you grow and advance your career  base pay range for this role is shown below, and will depend on your skills, qualifications, experiences, and location.

Expected Pay Range $65,000 — $85,000 USD
