SUMMARYDrives gasoline, liquefied gas, or electric powered industrial truck equipped with lifting devices such as forklift, boom, scoop, lift beam and swivel hook, fork grapple, clamps, or elevating platform, to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESMoves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus.
Completes daily forklift maintenance/check sheet.
Positions forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials, and transports load to designated area.
Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device from racks, trucks or dock.
Properly arrange product for freezing.
Inventories materials on work floor, and supply workers with materials as needed.
Weighs materials or products and records weight on tags, labels, or production schedules.
Loads or unloads materials onto or off of pallets, skids, or lifting device.
Recharges, maintains proper water levels, and cleans batteries.
Maintains equipment, clean and in good working condition.
Maintains clean work environment.

QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
REASONING ABILITYAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSCertification to operate equipment.
