The Manager of Environmental Services is responsible for planning, controlling and directing all cleaning, sanitizing, laundry/linen and waste removal functions at Doctors Hospital of Manteca to meet operating and financial goals, objectives and hospital needs. The Manager will provide leadership for department employees in achieving departmental and organizational goals using safe, effective, and efficient facility operation processes. The Director insures that the facility is maintained to provide an aesthetic, safe, and clean environment in support of the delivery of patient care.
The position is responsible for financial, employee, and regulatory management of the departments. The Manager provides support and training for hospital and department employees in the areas of floor care equipment and room cleaning procedures and policies.
Associate’s degree preferred or have equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience5 Years in managerial position. Previous hospital environmental services experience required.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities- Sufficient knowledge and experience in housekeeping to facilitate department employees in evaluation, coordination, and completion of work in accordance with local, state and national codes.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Excellent problem solving, listening and language skills are necessary.
- Must be fluent in spoken and written English with proficient writing.
- Bi‑lingual ability strongly preferred with written and verbal fluency in both English and Spanish.
- Ability to facilitate customer’s need while adhering to fiscal responsibility.
- Proficient computer skills in programs such as word processing, spreadsheets, database management, and computer maintenance management systems preferred.
- Working knowledge of OSHA, CDPH, local and state requirements for hazardous waste handling and disposal and Joint Commission requirements preferred.

$36.00 - $54.75. Individual wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience.
