A growing non-profit is entering an exciting season of strengthening and rebuilding its financial foundation — and they’re looking for a proactive, detail-driven Accounting Manager or Controller to help lead that transformation.

This is an individual contributor role (no staff to supervise), ideal for someone who is motivated by purpose and excels in environments where structure, strategy, and accuracy truly matter.

• Build financial dashboards that leadership can act on
• Create individualized program budgets & analyze cost centers
• Explain revenue/expense variances clearly and confidently
• Lead major components of an upcoming accounting system upgrade
• Establish a compliance calendar to track key deadlines
• Conduct “financial forensics” to strengthen controls & policies
• Support payroll’s transition back into the accounting department

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys both big-picture financial strategy and hands-on accounting detail

You’ll shine in this role if you have:

• ⭐ Deep understanding of grants, restrictions, and revenue recognition
• ⭐ A proactive mindset — you spot improvements before being asked
• ⭐ Strong organizational and calendaring skills
• ⭐ Comfort working through unknowns and building new processes
• ⭐ High integrity and unwavering confidentiality
• ⭐ Experience with accounting system upgrades (bonus!)
• ⭐ Payroll experience (Paycom is a plus)

$75,000–$90,000 salary range

🗓️ 1 half-day off per month

🌴 Generous vacation (up to 35+ days over time)
