Overview
Mansfield Community Social Work team have a vacancy for a full-time and part-time permanent Social Work posts within our place-based all-age teams. You will have a Social Work qualification, be dynamic in your approach, and have relevant knowledge, skills and expertise in all areas of Social Work practice, with at least 2 years' experience as a qualified Social Worker (preferably Band B or working towards Band
B).
- Undertake Care Act assessments to identify a person’s goals and aspirations, coordinating a range of outcomes to meet their needs.
- Explore reablement and enablement opportunities and access services appropriate to the individual.
- Use strength-based approaches to promote the principles of choice and control, personalisation and self-directed support to ensure people can assess and manage their own needs, risks and uncertainties.
- Work alongside other Social Workers, Occupational Therapists and Community Care Officers in a fast-paced, friendly, supportive team.
- Demonstrate good organisational skills and the ability to manage a caseload of mixed priority of work.
- Recognising that people are the experts in their own lives.
- Communicating respectfully with and about people.
- Thinking and acting creatively.
- Professionally challenging circumstances and environments that marginalise, exclude or oppress.
- Critical reflective practice and a desire for continuous learning and professional development.

- Have professional curiosity.
You must have a recognised social work qualification, registration with Social Work England and a sound knowledge base of relevant social care legislation over a two year post-qualifying period. Experience of working with adult safeguarding and partnership working with health, external agencies and providers. There is an expectation that Social Workers work flexibly in partnership with colleagues as required to manage pressures and achieve the best outcomes for the people of Nottinghamshire.
