Overview

Electrician needed in Leyland. This is a temporary contract paying £16.57ph PAYE. The reference number is: 465701.

• Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance across systems including lighting, power distribution, fire alarms, and emergency equipment.
• Diagnose faults, replace defective components, undertake rewiring and circuit testing, and maintain accurate records of electrical installations.
• Work collaboratively with estates and facilities teams, responding effectively to urgent breakdowns and supporting security‑critical infrastructure to guarantee reliable service delivery.
• Inspect and test electrical systems in line with current regulations, maintain emergency lighting and building management systems, and contribute to the smooth running of the environment through professional, dependable performance.

• Strong technical expertise in electrical maintenance and repair.
• Experience with lighting, power distribution, fire alarms, and emergency equipment.
• Ability to diagnose faults, replace components, rewire and test circuits.
• Ability to work collaboratively with estates and facilities teams and respond to urgent breakdowns.
• Ability to inspect and test electrical systems in line with current regulations; maintain emergency lighting and building management systems.
