Location: Long Eaton, Nottingham (NG10)
Pay:
- Up to £18.00 per hour experienced Programmer/Setter
- Around £16.50 per hour experienced Setter (depending on skills and capability)
Hours: Monday to Thursday 06:30‑16:00, Friday 06:30‑12:30
Employment: Permanent, full-time
About the Company
A well‑established subcontract precision engineering company based in Long Eaton, supplying high‑quality machined components to the automotive, rail, and general engineering sectors. Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced CNC Programmer/Setter to join their skilled and friendly team.
The Role
- Setting and programming CNC milling and turning machines for small to medium batch work.
- Loading tooling, setting offsets, and proving out new jobs from engineering drawings.
- Creating and adjusting programs at the machine to optimise efficiency and accuracy.
- Carrying out first‑off and in‑process inspections using micrometers, verniers, and gauges.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work area.
- Milling Controls: Hurco Win Max and Siemens
- Turning Controls: Hurco Win Max, Fanuc, and Sinumerik
