A leading UK food manufacturing group with a broad and diverse portfolio across chilled food, primary processing, and added-value food solutions is seeking an exceptional Supply Chain Director to lead its end-to-end supply chain function.

This is a pivotal executive role within a complex, multi-site environment supplying major retail and food service customers across the UK.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for shaping and delivering a best-in-class supply chain strategy that supports operational excellence, customer service, and sustainable growth.

The role spans procurement, planning, S&OP/IBP, warehousing, and logistics across multiple sites, with significant scope to influence performance, capability, and long-term strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute the UK supply chain strategy aligned to business objectives
  • Lead and embed robust S&OP/IBP processes to enhance forecast accuracy and service levels
  • Optimise procurement and supplier partnerships across primary and value-added categories
  • Drive continuous improvement across planning, warehousing, and distribution
  • Improve OTIF, inventory performance, working capital, and cost efficiency
  • Strengthen systems, data visibility, and supply chain governance
  • Build and lead a high-performing, engaged supply chain leadership team
  • Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Commercial, Finance, and senior stakeholders
The Ideal Candidate
  • Proven Supply Chain Director or senior leadership experience within chilled food, protein, fresh, or complex food manufacturing
  • Strong understanding of primary processing and/or added-value production environments
  • Experience supplying major UK retailers and/or food service customers
  • Track record of delivering measurable operational and financial improvements
  • Strategic mindset combined with operational depth
  • Strong change leader with the ability to drive performance across a multi-site organisation

This is an outstanding opportunity to join a financially strong, growth-oriented business operating at scale within the UK food sector.
