Teaching Personnel is recruiting graduates for the Future Teachers Programme, a structured two-year pathway into the teaching profession. This programme allows aspiring teachers to gain meaningful classroom experience before progressing into a salaried teacher training route.
It is ideal for individuals who wish to explore teaching in a secondary school setting prior to committing to formal Initial Teacher Training.
Programme Structure Year One – School-Based ExperienceDuring your first year, you will be placed in a secondary school in Mansfield as a Cover Supervisor.
Key responsibilities:- Supervising classes during short-term teacher absence
- Supporting students to complete pre-set lesson work
- Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Assisting teaching and pastoral staff where appropriate
There is no requirement for lesson planning, marking, or direct teaching in Year One.
Year Two – Salaried Teacher TrainingUpon successful completion of Year One, participants progress directly into a salaried Initial Teacher Training (ITT) position.
This year includes:- Training towards Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Ongoing mentoring and structured professional development
- Opportunity to complete a PGCE alongside QTS
- Continued placement within the same school or trust where possible
This progression ensures consistency, confidence, and a supported transition into teaching.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
