The Role

Turn complex contracts into high‑impact partnerships. If you love bringing clarity to the fine print, championing performance, and building trusted relationships across suppliers and stakeholders, this is a role where your work will translate directly into measurable results.

As a Contract Officer, you’ll be at the heart of how we secure value and manage risk across our vendor and client agreements. You’ll ensure contracts are accurate and compliant, keep performance on track, and drive continuous improvements that make our contract portfolio stronger over time.

What you’ll be doing
  • Shaping great deals:
    Participate in contract negotiations to secure favourable, compliant terms that set everyone up for success.
  • Owning performance:
    Monitor obligations and apply KPIs to track outcomes, spot issues early, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Building relationships:
    Engage stakeholders to share contract information clearly, gather input, and manage expectations.
  • Partnering with suppliers:
    Manage vendor and supplier relationships to ensure effective communication and adherence to contract terms.
  • Resolving issues:
    Address disputes as they arise and work with Legal/Compliance to handle contract‑related challenges.
  • Mitigating risk:
    Identify and reduce contract‑related risks across the lifecycle.
  • Supporting the wider portfolio:
    Contribute to portfolio‑level oversight across multiple contracts to drive consistent results.
About You

You’re a confident communicator who builds rapport quickly and navigates complex stakeholder groups with ease. Analytical, organised, and calm under pressure, you translate data and detail into clear decisions that move things forward.

Key Requirements & Experience Essential
  • Contract or Commercial Management experience.
  • Experience applying KPIs to contract performance and leading continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Hands‑on vendor/supplier relationship management across multiple agreements.
  • Stakeholder and relationship management experience.
  • Excellent communication skills and confident presentation skills.
  • Advanced analytical skills.
  • Ability to travel to sites and suppliers, access to a car and driving licence.
Desirable
  • Construction, Utilities, Infrastructure or similar industry experience.
  • Experience partnering with Legal/Compliance on dispute resolution.
  • Exposure to contract‑related risk identification and mitigation frameworks.
