Per-diem (PRN) Registered Nurse for day shifts (7a-7p) in a hospital Clinical Decision Unit delivering direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process, medication/IV administration, patient/family education, and maintaining a safe therapeutic environment. Requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, current BLS, Texas RN license or eligibility, and at least six months RN experience. Role supports hospital standards and interdisciplinary communication at a full-service acute-care facility with advanced stroke/heart-attack services and Magnet recognition.

Registered nurse renders highly professional and technical nursing care to assigned patients.
Provides direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation).

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

• Current Basic Life Support Certification

• Current license to practice nursing in Texas or eligibility to do so

Assumes responsibility for the nursing components of the patient/family/significant

Ensures complete, accurate, and timely written communication of patient information.

Provides a therapeutic environment through safe, accurate, and timely medication and
IV administration.

Takes personal responsibility and initiative for performance and for professional growth
and development.

Utilizes the nursing process to ensure quality patient care is provided throughout the
episode of care.
