RN PACU

Responsibilities

• Participates in direct patient care across geriatric, adult, adolescent, and pediatric populations, analyzing and interpreting patient‑specific information to assess and reassess individual nursing care plans.
• Demonstrates critical thinking skills when interpreting changes in patients’ immediate post‑operative conditions.
• Communicates patient information to all appropriate caregivers to ensure effective continuum of care.
• Manages and interprets all patient monitoring devices in the Post‑Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) environment competently.
• Provides accurate, timely documentation, utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to deliver competent, effective, cost‑efficient patient care.

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing (required).
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or equivalent (preferred).
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure, EV Accredited Issuing Body.
