• Develops and manages a productive warehouse operations team by hiring qualified personnel, utilizing effective communication and motivational techniques, providing ongoing performance management, rewarding higher levels of performance and by providing effective training, development, and succession planning.
• Manages warehouse systems, resources, and daily activities of warehouse teams to ensure that excellent service levels, low transactional cost, superior quality levels are achieved. Provides appropriate information during team talks, department meetings and during warehouse announcements.
• Ensures compliance with applicable industry standards by ensuring policies and processes are properly documented and implemented and by ensuring all employees are trained in standard operations procedures.
• Customarily oversees quality reports and/or coaching & development reports presented by Supervisors. Regularly directs the work of two or more full‑time employees or their equivalent. Makes suggestions and recommendations for these employees regarding performance and change of status, including transfer, advancement, termination, and hiring. Meets and maintains turnover goals.
