Overview:This position performs welding, repair and fabrication duties as assigned or required. Maintains a high level of work quality. Carries out responsibilities in accordance with organization’s policies, procedures and applicable law. May also perform other necessary basic duties.
Responsibilities:- Performs various types of welding, repair and fabrication duties as required or assigned Works directly with the department needing repair, welding and fabricating
- Complete work orders as required
- Follows Untied Site Services safety rules: utilizes protective clothing and equipment, reports safety hazards and incidents to supervisor.
- Attend safety meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Mechanical repair skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work independently while being safety conscious. Operate a forklift.
- Ability to work with others, maintain a high level of work quality and follow directions.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other associates of the organization.
- Ability to document and write simple reports.
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English and Spanish preferred.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to perform these operations using units of American currency, measurement, weight, and distance.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Valid Technician License (Class CDL A or B with endorsement or Class C, D, or E (depending on state).
- Sit while answering phones or reply to emails
- Use hands and fingers to handle, control or feel objects tools or controls
- Repeat the same movements when entering data
- See details of objects that are less than a few feet away
- Speak clearly so listeners can understand
- Understand the speech of another person
- Focus on one source of sound and ignore others
