*** About the position:
** The Hospice Clinical Education Director is responsible for the development, implementation, and oversight of clinical education across all hospice branches. The Hospice Clinical Education Director serves as a clinical education leader and subject-matter expert, supporting Patient Care Managers, Nurses, Social Workers, Chaplains, Hospice Aides, and leadership teams while aligning education initiatives with CMS and State regulations, accreditation standards, organizational policy and procedures and quality goals.

* Essential Job Functions:
*** Design, implement, and maintain a comprehensive hospice clinical education program for all clinical staff.
* Design and implement annual mandatory education, skills validation, and competency assessments.
* Lead new hire orientation and standardize onboarding pathways for hospice clinicians.
* Direct and effectively coordinate onboarding education and training for all clinical staff via the Med Bridge Platform.
* Serves as key partner for HOPE education.
* Develops and delivers accurate and quality training related but not limited to: + Hospice Conditions of Participation, State Regulations, & Accreditation standards + CMS Quality measures and reporting + HOPE tool + Symptom management and end-of-life care + Documentation standards and compliance + Interdisciplinary Group (IDG) best practices
* Provides Face to Face and virtual training/education to the clinical team including new hire orientation.
* Monitor education and identify opportunities for improvement.
* Meets mandatory continuing education requirements of the agency/licensing board.
* Other related duties, as assigned.

* Qualifications:
*** Current state license as an LVN/LPN.
* Minimum of 5 years of hospice experience including field nursing and management.
* Self-directed and able to work independently with little supervision.
* Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
* Ability to multi-task and prioritize actions items to ensure deadlines are met while ensuring accuracy.
* Excellent observation and clinical judgment skills.
* Excellent coaching, training and mentoring skills.
* Effective analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Proficient in most Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
* Home Care Home Base (HCHB) Experience preferred.
* Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
