Graphic Design Intern

Job Description

We are seeking a design-focused individual to develop and present creative concepts and visual assets that communicate our brand message across various media.

• Develop and present design concepts by creating initial sketches or mockups that explore layout, size, and style. Submit these concepts for review and approval before moving into production.
• Create visual assets that effectively communicate the brand message, engage the target audience, and meet objectives. Deliverables may include print and digital ads, banners, event materials, icons, illustrations, infographics, animations, videos, HTML5 ads, basic landing pages and email designs.
• Conduct research on products, technologies, audiences, and topics to inform concepts and visual solutions.
• Collaborate with teams to align visuals with marketing and business goals.
• Coordinate artwork approvals across various teams as needed.
• Complete assigned projects to impact the department or organization.
• Gain an understanding of degree utilization in the workplace.
• Cross‑train in other departments as desired.
• Observe and train with team members to understand various departmental processes.

• Creative, positive, and strategic thinker with a strong eye for layout, color, and typography.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Firefly, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects) and Google Web Designer a plus.
• Exhibits strong analytical, organizational, public speaking, and critical‑thinking skills.
• Conveys a productive attitude, takes initiative, works independently, and exhibits a strong work ethic.
• Accepts and incorporates feedback constructively and positively.
• Interacts effectively with individuals and groups of all levels inside and outside the organization.
• Excellent verbal and non‑verbal communication.
• Proficiency with macOS.

• Undergraduate students in good standing at either a junior or senior level, OR
• Graduate students are working toward a Master’s degree.
• Major or academic focus in one or more of the following programs:
  Design, Fine Arts, Visual Communication, or a related field, or equivalent education and/or approved relevant experience.
