CDL Front Load Truck Driver

• Operate trucks in a safe manner to provide trash or recycling removal services to customers on assigned route(s) and/or work orders by emptying trash/recycling containers into trucks and hauling them to a disposal site.
• Maintain and update route sheets.
• Conduct daily pre‑trip/post‑trip inspections and complete DVIR logs.
• Maintain cleanliness of truck cab.
• Visually inspect front load containers to ensure safe dumping procedures.
• Clean up areas located around containers when servicing customers as needed.
• Open and secure service gates while servicing customers.
• Professionally interact with internal and external customers.
• Clean waste from the packer blade and truck body while following proper Lock Out/Tag Out procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Ability to read and understand a map and/or navigation system.
• Required to enter/exit the truck approximately 100‑150 times per day.
• General knowledge of truck mechanics.
• Good written and verbal communication skills to be able to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers.
• Must be able to read and speak the English language well enough to communicate, understand, and respond to questions, directions, traffic signs, signals, and safety training.

• 1‑2 years of CDL truck driving experience preferred.
• Front load truck driving experience preferred.

• Frequently lift, carry, push, or pull a maximum of 50 lbs.
• Rarely lift, carry, push, or pull a maximum of 100 lbs.
• Continuously work outside in changing temperatures, wet/humid conditions.
• Continuously work in areas of dust, odors, mist, gases, and other airborne matter.
• Frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Frequently climb and/or balance.
• Frequently sit, stand, or walk.

• Must have at least a valid Class B CDL.
• Must have a valid DOT Medical Card or be able to obtain one prior to hire.
• Must be at least 19 years of age.
• No more than 3 moving violations within the last 2 years.
• Must not have any DUI's or OVI's within the last 5 years or 2 in the last 10 years.
• Possible exposure to high traffic conditions and/or tight driving areas.
• Exposure to residential and commercial waste.
• Ability to travel between offices, as required.
• Ability to work flexible hours; expected to work nights and weekends as needed.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and/or holidays.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Valid driver’s license (if applicable).
• Must successfully complete pre‑employment testing.
• Must be able to read and speak the English language.

• General Education Diploma or better.
• High School or better.
