Overview
The Vaccine Customer Representative (VCR) supports customers by providing clinical information on our Company’s vaccines, education and resources. They support user operational and financial needs such as reimbursement information and contract adherence to help providers or systems increase immunization rates among appropriate patients and protect them from vaccine-preventable diseases. The VCR is the primary point of contact for a variety of customers within their assigned geography, including health care providers such as physicians, nurses, pharmacists, quality directors, immunization managers, and office managers.
The geography includes diverse health care locations such as clinics, health departments, integrated delivery systems and hospitals. The VCR is a key member of the local Customer Team working with other field-based colleagues.
- Engage in balanced product sales presentations with health care providers and health care business professionals to align customer needs with our vaccine attributes in accordance with product labeling and CDC and professional society recommendations.
- Provide vaccine management updates related to helping customers improve patient health outcomes, gather customer feedback, understand marketplace dynamics, and progress toward quality goals.
- Provide customers with insights by staying informed about the professional and health care environment through study of scientific materials, product workshops, conferences, and review of promotional materials.
- Use analytical skills and tools to engage customers in quarterly business reviews regarding vaccine contracts to educate on maximizing contract performance across the portfolio.
- Assist customers with education to improve organizational immunization rates through adherence to quality-based programs using tools such as Vaccine IQ.
- Regularly monitor business performance against objectives using company tools.
- Develop territory-level business plans to improve immunization rates in line with Company policies, standards and ethics.
- Maintain product knowledge and certification on the full vaccine portfolio and knowledge of the CDC immunization schedule for pediatric and adult vaccines.
- Within select customer accounts, act as primary point of contact, meet with key customers to understand practice structure, business model, and stakeholders, and identify opportunities to support immunization needs.
- Coordinate with the Company’s customer team to outline customer strategy for interactions aimed at improving immunization rates.
- This territory covers Mansfield, OH.
- The ideal location to reside is within this territory.
- Travel varies based on candidate location within the geography.
Education
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree with 3+ years of Sales experience OR a minimum of a high school diploma with at least 6 years of equivalent experience (professional sales, marketing, military or healthcare/scientific fields, not necessarily in sales).
- Ability to build trust with customers and demonstrate value in selling situations through high-quality interactions focused on products/solutions to improve health outcomes.
- Ability to segment customer populations and apply insights to focus resources and drive plans.
- Ability to understand customer business climate, assess market potential, identify opportunities and risks, and develop territory plans to drive results.
- Ability to understand interdependencies within an account and build long-term relationships through collaborative planning.
- Ability to convey technical concepts accurately and clearly.
