The Maintenance Mechanic Trainee supports the maintenance team in ensuring all production equipment, tools, and facility systems operate safely and efficiently. This entry-level position is designed to develop hands-on skills in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems within a fast-paced truss and wall panel manufacturing environment.
This role is ideal for someone mechanically inclined who is eager to learn industrial maintenance in a manufacturing setting.
What You'll Do:
* Assist senior maintenance technicians with troubleshooting and repairing production equipment
* Perform preventative maintenance on saws, presses, conveyors, pneumatic systems, and automated equipment
* Help diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues
* Learn to read blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals
* Support welding and fabrication repairs as needed
* Maintain tools, parts inventory, and maintenance records
* Assist with facility maintenance including lighting, air compressors, and building systems
* Follow all safety policies and lockout/tagout procedures
* Participate in training programs to develop technical skills

* High school diploma or GED required
* Trade school coursework, technical certification, or mechanical experience preferred
* Basic understanding of mechanical systems and hand tools
* Willingness to learn electrical troubleshooting and industrial controls
* Strong work ethic and dependability
* Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in a manufacturing environment
* Comfortable working at heights or in tight spaces when needed
* Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset

Growth Opportunity

Starting this position at $17.50/hr

Train operators on correct operating and maintenance procedures.
Audit daily checks.

Qualifications
Able to read and write in their primary language.

Able to lift 50 pounds.
