Position Description
The Adena Craft Shop Manager provides full operational oversight of the Adena-Craft fabrication shop, including all casework, millwork, countertops, exhibit builds, and related installation activities. This role is responsible for managing production, quality, staffing, training, and execution across all shop operations. The Shop Manager oversees all fabricated work produced by Adena-Craft and will ensure that all products meet design intent, quality standards, schedule requirements, and installation expectations.
This position will supervise the Casework Manufacturing Lead, and serves as the primary steward of shop performance, culture, and craftsmanship.

Job Responsibilities:
Provide full leadership and accountability for all Adena-Craft shop operationsOversee fabrication and installation of custom casework consisting of wood, plastic laminate, solid surface, countertops, custom millwork, and specialty componentsOversee exhibit fabrication, including museum and interactive exhibit builds that require research, development, prototyping, and custom architectural and engineering solutionsPlan and sequence shop work to meet production schedules and project deadlinesSupport onboarding and training of new shop personnelLead and actively participate in the fabrication of all build typesEnsures that products meet industry standards and project specificationsWork alongside the operations manager to coach, mentor, and improve the staff’s technical skill setsSupport onboarding and training of new shop personnelApply finishes including stains, varnishes, paints, and lacquers as requiredInstalls hardware, such as hinges, handles, locks, catches, or drawer pulls, using hand toolsAttaches decorative or functional accessories to productsSupport installation efforts when required, including travel to job sitesWorks with others to maintain safety and efficiency in the cabinet shopAdheres to the company’s safety policies to create a safe work environmentOther duties as assignedPosition Requirements

Skills:
Sufficient education or an equivalent combination of experience, education and training that provides the desired knowledge, skills and characteristics to perform duties of the roleMust maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving recordMinimum five (5) years of experience in casework / counter top fabricationCNC router and edge bander experience preferredMust be willing and able to travel to jobsites which may at times require overnight staysAbility to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistencyAbility to use equipment and tools in a safe and efficient mannerMust have a good work ethic, and the ability to understand and carry out written and verbal instructionsAbility to work in a team environmentExcellent communication skillsEOE
