Experienced Machine Operator - 3rd Shift

• Hours:
  
  10 PM to 6 AM (Sunday night through Friday morning)
• Some overtime required
• Salary: $19/hour + $1.50 shift differential

• Responsible for Machine Operation to produce finished goods
• Operate in their responsibility to maintain efficiency and quality.
• Perform a variety of manufacturing tasks using production equipment to ensure steady workflow.
• Perform equipment adjustments
• Mounting of cutting dies, print plates, and any other tooling required for each job.
• Perform quality checks prior to each job assigned and during the production run.
• Maintain documented checklist for quality checks, ink monitoring, and clean up.
• Keep machine setup and run times at maximum efficiency.
• Help troubleshoot any quality or machine issues as they occur.
• Ensure that the equipment is properly maintained, notifying Maintenance and Supervisors of any issues that occur.
• Perform daily and detailed weekly cleanup in accordance with the cleanup checklist.
• Identify, and report any damaged tooling that needs repair.
• Identify product safety concerns and report them to your supervisor.
• Other duties as determined by Plant Superintendent, Shift Supervisor or Shift Lead.

• Standing for long periods of time.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Bending, lifting, twisting on a continuous basis.
• Ability to lift 70 lbs.
• Ability to clearly communicate with material handlers, other employees and managers as needed.
• Attention to detail and high level of numerical accuracy.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Experience assisting on multi color flexographic press is preferred.
• Able to troubleshoot and problem solve.
• Ability to clearly differentiate colors.
