Field Operations Supervisor - Mansfield Region
Omni Fiber is seeking a Field Operations Supervisor with experience in outside plant fiber installation, customer premise installation, and overall field management. The role manages in‑house and third‑party installation teams, allocates resources, and makes decisions in accordance with Division policies and contractual commitments.
Locations:
Mansfield, Shelby, and Bucyrus, Ohio
Responsibilities:
- Accountable for site
Bet, technology safety, quality, scheduling of technicians, ensuring quality control
159, maintaining consumable materials, fleet monitoring, and all activities related to full field installation and repair processes. - Ensure availability of resources with proper expertise and tools to support assigned installation and service repair execution.
- Reconcile installation and repair activities and manage metrics regarding team performance.
- Serve as the single point of contact between the Area Manager and the field.
- Provide oversight of installation, service repairs, special projects, and overall operational functions and ensure proper execution.
- Maintain and manage subcontractor relationships and ensure work meets contract requirements.
- Track and coordinate material deliveries to the field and ensure accountability.
- Provide coaching, counseling, disciplinary actions, and performance reviews for field employees and subcontractors.
- Report performance data to management.
- Identify and assess improvement opportunities that add value.
- Supervise expenditures to budgeted levels, overtime, contract labor, and material issuance.
- Coordinate with the warehouse supervisor to maintain adequate inventory levels.
- Ensure thiếu staff are properly trained and certified.
- Meet technicians and contractors at sites, inspect work, provide feedback, and encourage continued improvement.
- Prepare and distribute timely weekly and monthly reports.
Minimum Qualifications:®,
- 3 years of fiber‑to‑home experience with telecommunication industry experience.
- Preferred supervisory experience.
- Knowledgeable in quality fiber installation and service practices.
- Understanding of supervising third‑party contract labor.
- Consistent with performance management and goal attainment.
- Computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
