Part Time 1099 – Monday to Thursday, 6 am to 1 pm onsite
The physician is responsible for providing medical services to patients, including prescribing, dispensing, and administering medication for the treatment of substance use in accordance with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations. The physician manages patients at all levels of care provided by the clinic, conducts complete physicals, provides treatment and counsel, and provides medical oversight to the nursing department under the guidance of the Medical Director and Clinic Director.

Responsibilities- Provide medical care for prescribing, dispensing and administration of medication to patients at the clinic, in line with federal, state and corporate policies.
- Perform physical exams on patients admitted for medication maintenance to establish medical diagnosis for acute and chronic health problems.
- Review medical information to ensure medical stability, eligibility for the program, and offer medical recommendations.
- Ensure all patients are aware of the hazards of the medication treatment program.
- Evaluate patient care, adjusting the plan of care on outcomes, diagnostic test results and patient feedback.
- Provide patient and staff education on medical maintenance.
- Complete medical information for individual care plans, document services in a timely manner, and maintain appropriate confidential documentation, compliance and billing per policy and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, CARF standards, and clinic policy and procedure.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintain them over time.
- Encourage and build mutual trust, respect and cooperation among team members.
Education & Experience Requirements
- Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) from an accredited college or university.
- No history of alcohol or drug misuse for a period of three years before employment.
- Current license to practice medicine in the state of Ohio.
- Board certification, or certificate of admissibility for board certification, is preferred.
- Current DEA credentials are required to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the practitioner will be working.
