Part Time Expanded Functions Dental Assistant Job Description

Mid America Health (MAH) is seeking an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant to join our Ohio team. This part-time position will work 24 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. The position is located at the Mansfield Correctional Institution in Mansfield, OH. This role offers competitive compensation of $35 per hour and 401k, with no late nights or weekends.

Part Time Expanded Functions Dental Assistant Job Duties

Routine chairside duties include preventive, restorative, extraction, and prosthodontic care. This position includes placement and finishing of permanent dental fillings, application of fluoride varnishes and desensitizing agents, and provision of oral hygiene instructions. No orthodontics or crown & bridge with very limited endodontics required. Administrative duties are also required, and training will be provided in this area.

Part Time Expanded Functions Dental Assistant Job Qualifications

• 1 year experience and certificate from an accredited dental assisting program preferred.
• Current CPR for Healthcare Providers
• Active Ohio Dental Radiographer License REQUIRED
• Active Ohio Expanded Functions Dental Auxiliary license REQUIRED
