- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience of at least 2 years in payroll processing and accounting functions.
- Strong knowledge of payroll systems, tax regulations, and compliance requirements in the United States.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage 100-Contractor, ADP, or similar payroll platforms.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Certification such as Certified Payroll Professional.
- Advanced Excel skills including the use of formulas, pivot tables, and macros.
- Familiarity with benefits administration and timekeeping systems.
- Process and administer payroll for all employees accurately and on schedule, including calculating wages, deductions, and benefits.
- Maintain and update payroll records, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and company policies.
- Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Prepare and submit payroll tax filings and reports to federal, state, and local agencies.
