The Market Surveillance Specialist will be responsible for reviewing and preparing updates of market and competitive surveillance and analysis to support compliance to the European Union Medical Device Regulation (EU MDR). The responsibilities will include leadership in establishment of marketing claim review process with our private label medical device customers, establishment of competitive analysis process, external marketing material review and approval (including customer’s web content review & approval) and post-market surveillance support.

The Market Surveillance Specialist will participate and interface with cross-functional teams on transition projects for the European Union Medical Device Directive (EU MDD) to the EU Medical Device Regulation. The position will require getting up to speed on basic EU MDD and MDR compliance knowledge to be capable of assessing documents from and interfacing with OEM business groups as well as various customers.

Customer interface will require participation in customer meetings and working with various customer functional representatives. The Market Surveillance Specialist will be required to apply best-practice marketing tools and techniques and promote the value and use of such tools throughout the organization.

• Work with Regulatory team to develop a customer marketing claim review process including implementation and training.
• Work with customers, OEM Marketing, OEM Sales and OEM Regulatory to communicate and align Teleflex process to customer’s marketing collateral review process (promotional material review process) and implement this process.
• Review current customer marketing materials and web content for conformance to approved product claims and identify necessary revision.
• Work with OEM Regulatory team to assess scope and impact of revisions.
• Work with customers, OEM Marketing and OEM Sales to revise current customer marketing collateral, as appropriate.
• Work with OEM Regulatory to ensure marketing material reviews & revision update timelines are aligned.
• Review and provide branding input to revised labels and IFUs.
• Review and provide input to Post Market Surveillance and Post Market Clinical Follow-up activities.
• Provide training to project teams on new OEM — Customer Marketing Review process.
• Bring MDR marketing questions/issues to the attention of OEM Regulatory Affairs and Marketing, as appropriate.
• Adhere to and ensure the compliance of Teleflex’s Code of Ethics, all Company policies, rules, procedures and housekeeping standards.
