Overview
LABUR is supporting a client through the continued scaling of their Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central environment as system usage and organizational complexity increase. This engagement focuses on strengthening application ownership, improving day‑to‑day support, and ensuring Business Central continues to meet the needs of multiple business functions. The Business Central Specialist will partner closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to administer, enhance, and optimize the platform.
As the organization grows, this engagement will help distribute workload, deepen functional expertise, and provide hands‑on support that enables end users to operate efficiently and with confidence.
- Serve as a hands‑on Business Central specialist supporting end users across departments including sales, purchasing, finance/accounting, inventory, and limited warehouse operations.
- Provide day‑to‑day application support including user setup, security assignment, and permission management, monitoring system performance, batch data uploads and maintenance of existing records, and end‑user training and ongoing support.
- Act as a functional liaison between business users and the Business Central partner, participating in weekly vendor meetings and following up on issues, enhancements, and requests.
- Perform activities such as troubleshooting discrepancies, identifying and documenting issues, supporting new customer onboarding and system setup.
- Contribute to and maintain documentation and SOPs to support system usage, training, and operational consistency.
- Collaborate with internal application management resources, including specialists supporting Business Central and WMS systems.
- 2-3+ years of experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- Strong functional knowledge of Business Central, with a preference for candidates with deep experience in the finance and accounting modules.
- Experience supporting users across multiple functional areas such as sales, inventory, purchasing, and accounting.
- Administrative experience including security configuration, permissions, data maintenance, and user training.
- Proven ability to work with third‑party vendors and implementation partners.
- Experience creating documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Exposure to WMS integrations or inventory‑heavy environments.
- Background in application management or post‑implementation support environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non‑technical users.
$85,000 - $90,000 per year - Depending on fit and experience.
