Process Improvement Consultant

Overview

Our client, a leading national wholesaler serving the restaurant industry, is seeking an experienced Process Improvement Consultant for a 4+ month engagement. This fully remote role will focus on enhancing Accounts Payable workflows, strengthening controls, improving efficiency, and developing productivity reporting. The ideal consultant will bring strong accounting expertise, a process‑driven mindset, and the ability to create clear documentation and metrics that support accuracy and accountability across AP operations.

Job Title: Process Improvement Consultant – Accounts Payable

Location: Fully remote

Pay Rate: $50-$60/hour (W2, based on experience).

• Document current Accounts Payable processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Develop productivity metrics and reporting to measure invoice processing volume and enhance team accountability.
• Perform vendor master data cleanup and validation to strengthen controls and reduce fraud risk.
• Create process documentation, workflows, and standard operating procedures to support consistency and training.
• Analyze AP performance data and collaborate with stakeholders to recommend efficiency improvements.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of related experience.
• Strong background in Accounts Payable, Accounting, and FP&A.
• Experience with process improvement, workflow documentation, and operational reporting.
• Ability to analyze complex data and develop clear, actionable insights.
