Position Overview:We are seeking a highly motivated Territory Manager (Outside Sales) to drive growth and develop customer relationships in Minnesota and the Eastern Dakotas. The ideal candidate is a proactive, results-driven sales professional with technical aptitude and a strong background in industrial equipment sales or process automation.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to grow business in the assigned territory
- Identify and pursue new customer opportunities across municipal, OEM, and industrial markets
- Build and maintain strong relationships with engineers, contractors, maintenance teams, and purchasing agents
- Promote and support the portfolio of valves, instrumentation and various solutions for applications
- Provide technical consultation and product recommendations to solve customer process challenges
- Conduct site visits, product demos, and training sessions for customers
- Prepare quotes, submit proposals, and follow up to close business
- Maintain accurate records of activity and prepare sales forecasts
- Attend trade shows, training events, and vendor meetings as needed
- Collaborate with inside sales team to ensure customer satisfaction
- Bachelor’s degree & 3+ years of outside sales experience in industrial automation, process control, or a related technical field
- Proven ability to develop territory plans and exceed sales targets
- Strong understanding of valves, instrumentation, and process systems is preferred
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
