Job Overview:

Cub Mankato West is looking for a dedicated individual to fill a full time baker position! The baker is responsible for preparing donuts and other fried pastries to maintain Cub’s reputation for fresh and delicious baked goods. This role involves frying, glazing/icing, decorating and packaging donuts while providing superior customer service.

• Prepare, fry and finish donuts
• Stock, rotate and face fried product
• Perform clean up of department
• Assist with department merchandising as directed
• Assist with customer questions or requests

• Equipment operation (timer, mixer, scale, knife, reversible sheeter, donut cutter, scraper, proof box, donut sticks, hopper, fryer, screens, icing warmer, Bismark pump, luggers, spatula)
• Able to walk long distances and stand for long periods of time
• The position requires on-going customer interaction, providing prompt, courteous and accurate service.
• Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available.
• Have the ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions; write identifying information; request supplies verbally or in writing.
• Must be able to work shifts varying in length and time, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must be 18 years of age and older.

• Lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs.
• Pushing/pulling up to 300 lbs.
• Walking on uneven ground
• Reaching, bending, turning, repetitive motions
• Extended exposure to varied temperatures and wet surfaces

• Shifts are from 2:00 am - 10:00 am or 5:00 am - 1:00 pm.
