Experts of store process and efficiency who enable a consistent guest experience by ensuring product is set, in-stock, accurately priced and signed on the sales floor. The General Merchandise and Food Sales team leads inbound, outbound, replenishment, and promotional signing processes for all General Merchandise areas. This team conducts inventory accuracy, merchandise setup and maintenance and pricing processes for all areas.

They enable efficient delivery to guests by supporting pick, pack and ship fulfillment work.

• Knowledge of guest service fundamentals and experience supporting a guest-first culture across the store
• Experience in retail fundamentals including department sales trends, inventory replenishment, and process efficiency and improvement
• Experience executing daily/weekly workload to support business priorities and deliver on sales goals

• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete your daily tasks.
• Engage with guests to help solve their specific needs when they require assistance.
• Thank guests and acknowledge their choice to shop Target.
• Execute daily tasks assigned by your leader to help achieve goals aligned with business priorities, including receiving products, restocking shelves, organizing the backroom, arranging merchandise, and putting up promotional signs for GM areas.
• Operate power equipment to move merchandise or store fixtures if certified.
• Execute processes such as changing prices, merchandise setup and maintenance, and inventory accuracy as directed by leadership for all areas.
• Learn how procedures such as inventory management and store organization impact store profitability and product availability.
• Be knowledgeable about store resources, products, and services to solve guest issues and improve their experience.
• Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance.
• Work safely at all times and report hazards; follow safety policies and training.
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier and digital fulfillment processes (picking/packing orders or delivering pickup orders), while complying with applicable laws (e.g., beverage laws).
• All other duties based on business needs.

• You enjoy interacting with guests and team members; you thrive in a fast-moving, active environment with teamwork and problem-solving.
• You are open to a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and other peak times.

• Accurately handle cash register operations as needed

• Move merchandise safely, including lifting up to 44 pounds without assistance
• Flexible schedule and reliable attendance required
• Comfort with varying temperatures and environments (e.g., drive-up, carryout)
• Ability to remain mobile during shifts
