Description

Our client, a well-established precision machining company in southern Minnesota, is looking for an experienced CNC Trainer to support Milling, Turning, and Swiss operations (including sub-spindle and multi-axis work). This hands-on role focuses on developing machinists through structured training, coaching, and certification while maintaining ISO 9001 quality standards, safety, and continuous improvement.

, allowing you to work your own schedule, full-time or part-time, making it ideal for a skilled CNC professional who enjoys mentoring others and applying their technical expertise in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver structured CNC training (setup, operation, programming)
  • Provide hands-on coaching across Mills, Turning, and Swiss machines
  • Train on tooling, probing, GD&T, blueprint reading, and inspection techniques
  • Assess skill levels and track operator certification and readiness
  • Create and refine SOPs, work instructions, and training materials
  • Partner with leadership to identify skill gaps and improve productivity
  • Reinforce quality standards, waste reduction, and safe machine operation
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of CNC machining experience (setup, programming, operation) required
  • Strong experience in Milling, Turning, and/or Swiss environments required
  • Proficiency in CNC programming languages and CAM software required
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel) required
