- CNC Programming:
Create and optimize programs for Mazak Mill‑turns, Makino Horizontal Mills, and Haas mills/lathes - Fixture Design:
Design and order components for robust fixtures for new parts - Process Optimization:
Lead efforts to improve existing machining processes and assist in new part setups - Troubleshooting:
Diagnose and resolve production quality issues - Collaboration:
Partner with Design Engineers to ensure new products are designed for manufacturability (DFM) - Quoting:
Accurately quote machining cycle times for planning and estimation
- Experience:
Associate’s degree in a manufacturing field or equivalent plus 5 years of relevant experience, or a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience - Mastercam experience is required
- Proven experience with Mill‑Turn and Horizontal Mill machines
- Ability to work unsupervised, take initiative, and teach others
- Knowledge of a large variety of inspection equipment
- Experience with Mazatrol on Mazak Mill‑Turns
- Experience in hydraulic fixture design
- Solid Works and CMM experience
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and the iron foundry process
- Involvement in capital investment projects or automation
- Experience machining castings
