At Door Engineering, a division of Senneca Holdings, we design and manufacture custom industrial and commercial doors. We are currently seeking a Welder to join our team at our Mankato facility. The ideal candidate will have fabrication experience and a strong commitment to quality and safety.
Schedule:
- Monday – Thursday: 5:45 AM – 4:15 PM
- Occasional overtime on Fridays

The Welder will work with the Area Lead to complete welding assignments through final finishing stages while meeting production timelines. This role collaborates closely with Area Leads and the Production Manager to ensure department quality standards and production schedules are met.
Responsibilities- Review and understand project specifications and drawings.
- Perform welding tasks according to project requirements and company standards.
- Conduct quality assurance checks throughout the fabrication process.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines.
- Maintain accuracy and attention to detail throughout the production process.
- Work with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Ability to learn new tasks and concepts quickly.
- Preferred:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a fabrication environment, including welding, drilling, and the use of various hand tools. - Ability to use handheld measuring tools such as tape measures, combination squares, and other measuring instruments.
- Ability to lift 25–50 pounds frequently.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to follow SOPs and maintain quality and safety standards.
- Strong organizational and workflow management skills.
- Good verbal communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- D1 certification for aviation welding is preferred.
