JOB DESCRIPTIONSummary: The production Manager will effectively utilize team members, work with other departments, and communicate between shifts, to attain facility productivity and quality goals. Implements and Drives the LEAN mentality and vision.

- Empowers production team members to meet and exceed operational and quality standards.
- Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures, safety regulations, GMP’s, SOP’s, SSOP’s, HACCP, and SQF.
- Mentor and motivate team members, providing training and development to optimize their performance and personal growth. Communicates performance standards to team members, recognizing and rewarding individual and team accomplishments and counseling performance problems. Ensures all team members have the resources and capabilities to effectively accomplish their responsibilities.
- Participates in regular meetings with plant management to discuss production improvements. Facilitates problem resolutions related to production issues.
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience in a food-processing organization, preferably using computerized manufacturing equipment. Further processing experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of USDA regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s), and HACCP.
- Demonstrated mechanical and special aptitude, including the ability to disassemble and reassemble equipment and the ability to formulate and understand complex mathematical equations.
- Working knowledge of safety, OSHA standards, product quality success rates, throughput delivery and cost control (minimizing downtime and waste, optimizing yield).
- Strong interpersonal skills, to include professional oral and written communication, a team focused approach, and the ability to model composure/make decisions in stressful situations.
