About the RoleThis position assembles parts according to work order instructions.
Responsibilities- Assemble various elevator parts according to prints and work order instructions.
- Strap down assembled parts for shipping.
- Follow established company and departmental precautions and procedures in the performance of all job duties to ensure a safe work environment for self and others.
- Demonstrate respect and regard for customers and coworkers to ensure a professional, responsive and courteous environment at Minnesota Elevator, Inc.
- Participate as a team member by performing additional assignments to meet organizational goals as noted and observed by the supervisor and coworkers.
- This role allows for flexibility with work hours but also includes the expectation of regular overtime based on operational needs.
- Attendance and punctuality are considered key responsibilities of this role.
- Execute additional tasks as needed.
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Resourceful, problem-solver, able to prioritize and multitask
- Detail oriented and organized
- Able to communicate effectively with great people skills & a sense of humor
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimum supervision

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle objects, tools or reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch and walk up to 8 hours. The employee must frequently lift up to 50 pounds; the employee is required to request assistance when lifting anything exceeding 50 pounds.
The employee is frequently pushing and pulling and occasionally up to 70 pounds.
