About the RoleThis position is responsible for sorting and moving material.
Responsibilities- Prepare customer invoices and verify data accuracy, ensuring compliance with Move and organize materials, assemble parts, and support crating (packaging) equipment and parts for shipping
- Close work orders and print labels associated with the parts.
- Participate in and engage in continuous improvement activities
- Follow established company and departmental precautions and procedures in the performance of all job duties to ensure a safe work environment for self and others.
- Demonstrate respect and regard for customers and coworkers to ensure a professional, responsive and courteous environment at Minnesota Elevator, Inc.
- Participate as a team member by performing additional assignments to meet organizational goals as noted and observed by supervisors and coworkers.
- Participate in self-development activities to enhance job performance either through formal means (classes, workshops, seminars, in services, etc.) or less structured means (reading, networking, etc.)
- Follow company guidelines regarding punctuality and attendance to ensure a smooth working environment for the department.
- Execute additional tasks as needed
- 2 Manufacturing experience
- Forklift experience desired
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Resourceful, problem-solving, able to prioritize and multitask
- Detail oriented and organized
- Able to communicate effectively with great people skills & a sense of humor
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Self-motivated and work independently with minimum supervision
- Unshakeable integrity
Position requires approximately less than 5% sitting, 55% walking and 40% standing. The ability to use hands to handle or feel is required on a frequent basis. The ability to reach with hands and arms and to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl on an occasional basis is required. Also, the position requires the ability to express or exchange ideas by means of spoken words.
Clear vision at 20 inches or less and at 20 feet or more is required. The ability to identify and distinguish colors is required. This position also requires peripheral vision and depth perception. The ability to lift 50 pounds on a frequent basis is required. Job holders must work near moving mechanical parts on an occasional basis and are exposed to outdoor weather conditions on a consistent basis.
This position is exposed to moderate noise (e.g., business office machines such as computers and printers, light traffic).
