OverviewThe Operations Manager is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing all plant floor activities and driving operational excellence across the facility. This individual will lead department managers, ensure production targets are consistently met, and cultivate a high‑performance culture rooted in safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Operational Leadership
- Oversee all daily plant operations, ensuring consistent performance across production, safety, and quality metrics.
- Directly supervise and coach department managers, providing clear expectations, feedback, and accountability.
- Monitor production KPIs and implement initiatives to achieve or exceed plant goals.
- Champion a safety‑first culture by ensuring adherence to OSHA and company safety standards.
- Enforce quality control policies and partner with Quality teams to resolve issues and prevent reoccurrence.
- Conduct regular floor audits, training, and fit tests to maintain compliance.
- Lead Lean, 5S, and other process‑improvement initiatives to reduce waste, improve throughput, and optimize efficiency.
- Collaborate with leadership to align plant operations with company‑wide strategic objectives.
- Identify bottlenecks and develop forward‑thinking solutions to support sustainable growth.
- Build strong, effective teams through mentoring, coaching, and consistent performance management.
- Hold managers accountable to operational expectations while fostering a positive, collaborative work environment.
- Ensure proper staffing levels and collaborate with HR on recruiting, onboarding, and training efforts.
- Oversee scheduling, resource allocation, and production workflows to meet customer demand.
- Manage inventory levels, ensuring accuracy and alignment with operational needs.
- Utilize ERP systems to track production, identify trends, and support data‑driven decision‑making.
- Proven experience in operations, production, or plant management within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership communication skills with the ability to influence, motivate, and hold teams accountable.
- Demonstrated knowledge of safety regulations and quality standards.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and data‑driven operational decision‑making.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, hands‑on production environment.
- Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, 5S).
- Prior success in improving plant KPIs, such as scrap reduction, throughput, or labor efficiency.
- Ability to coach managers and build strong, engaged teams.
- Strong problem‑solving and conflict‑resolution skills.

This is a Permanent position based out of North Mankato, MN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $180000.00/yr.
