Overview

The Pillars of Mankato provides independent living, assisted living, and memory care apartments for seniors in a specially designed community. We incorporate the seven components of wellness (emotional, physical, intellectual, spiritual, social, environmental, and occupational) into our 118 units that make up The Pillars. Located near US 14 and 169's crossroads, located in Mankato, MN.

The Housekeeper provides a clean, safe, and pleasant environment for residents, staff, and visitors. This schedule includes:

• 80 hours every two weeks;
  Full Time
• Monday–Friday 8:00am–4:30pm

• Cleans resident and common areas of the community as assigned.
• Performs thorough cleaning of all assigned areas, including vacuums carpets, sweeps and mops hard floor surfaces, dusts and/or damp wipes surfaces, sanitizes bathrooms, cleans all glass windows/mirrors.
• Prioritizes tasks and completes within allotted time.
• Assists in cleaning emergency spills as needed.
• Assumes other responsibilities as assigned.
• Follows cleaning schedule and instructions regarding specifications of resident’s individualized housekeeping needs.
• Performs job duties safely, using correct body mechanics and personal protective equipment.
• Safely mixes chemicals according to instructions provided by the manufacturer.
• Consistently follows safe body mechanics.
• Demonstrates precautionary work practices for the safety of others in the work areas, such as electric cords and wet floor signs.
• Completes all OSHA training modules in a timely manner.
• Maintains cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Maintains housekeeping cart and storage area on a daily basis.
• Safeguards others’ well-being by keeping chemicals and other hazardous materials locked when not in active use.
• Communicates supplies that need to be restocked.
• Communicates need for equipment repairs.
• Adheres to all Lockout/Tagout requirements per policy.
• Assists with light maintenance tasks as needed.
• Participates actively in team meetings, reports on current state in the Community, providing feedback on housekeeping-related items as they arise.

• Less than 1 year of experience
• Ability to utilize software programs in order to complete work functions.

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1 to 3 years of experience
• Experience utilizing software programs such as Educare or TELS in order to complete necessary job functions

An individual  pay rate within the posted range may be determined by various factors, including skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions. Additionally, our organization prioritizes pay equity and considers internal team equity when making any offer. Hiring at the maximum of the range is not typical. If your role is eligible for a sign-on bonus, the bonus program that is approved and in place at the time of offer, is what will be honored.
