Responsibilities
Physical therapists are health care professionals who help individuals maintain, restore, and improve movement, activity, and functioning, thereby enabling optimal performance and enhancing health, well-being, and quality of life. Their services prevent, minimize, or eliminate impairments of body functions and structures, activity limitations, and participation restrictions. Physical therapy is provided for individuals of all ages who have or may develop impairments, activity limitations, and participation restrictions related to (1) conditions of the musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, cardiovascular, pulmonary, and/or integary systems or (2) the negative effects attributable to unique personal and environmental factors as they relate to human performance.
Qualifications- Successful completion of an accredited physical therapy educational program and passed approved licensing exam.
- Doctor of Physical Therapy, APTA Board Certified Specialist preferred.
- Current Minnesota License to practice Physical Therapy or eligible for a Minnesota License. Current BLS certification or completion within 60 days of hire.
- Must be able to travel between sites as needed. If required to provide therapy services in another state, will be required to have a current license to practice Physical Therapy in that state.

Schedule DetailsThis is a per diem acute care position designed to help support coverage for comp days, PTO and sick days for the inpatient staff. Hours are generally 8:00-4:30 Monday through Friday but could vary slightly based on the department needs.
Weekend ScheduleThis position could also help to cover intermittent weekend needs in the hospital. Weekend shifts are typically 8:00-4:30 Saturday and Sunday.
