Direct Support Professional DSP

Position Overview

Amanicare Services Inc is seeking compassionate, reliable, and motivated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support individuals with developmental disabilities in a group home setting. DSPs play a critical role in helping individuals live safely, independently, and with dignity while promoting choice, respect, and community inclusion.

• Assist individuals with daily living activities (personal care, hygiene, meal preparation, housekeeping)
• Support individuals in community activities, appointments, and recreational outings
• Follow Individual Service Plans (ISP) and positive support strategies
• Administer or assist with medications as trained and authorized
• Monitor health, safety, and emotional well-being of individuals
• Document daily activities, progress notes, and incident reports accurately
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive living environment
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and families
• Uphold all Minnesota 245D regulations and company policies

• High school diploma or GED required
• Ability to pass background check and DHS requirements
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (preferred)
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Prior DSP or caregiving experience preferred, but training is provided
• Strong communication, patience, and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently and responsibly
