Job Summary

We are seeking a Direct Support Professional to join our team at Resolute Care, LLC. In this role, you will make a difference in the lives of individuals and people with disabilities, by enhancing their quality of life. Responsibilities include assisting with hygiene needs, light housekeeping and errands, dispensing medication, and other tasks that improve the clients living environment and standards.

The ideal candidate is patient, compassionate, and reliable. As an employee in direct care, you will have direct contact and assist people who need support to lead more independent lives.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with personal hygiene needs and dressing
  • Effectively practice person centered planning.
  • Assist with mobility, walking, and physical exercises.
  • Prepare meals and snacks
  • Light housekeeping activities
  • Dispense medication
  • Provide companionship
  • Assist with errands and shopping
  • Complete necessary continuing education trainings

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Caregiver, Home Health Aide, or similar role is preferred
  • First aid and CPR certified is a plus.
  • Knowledge of basic housekeeping tasks and cooking skills
  • Ability to adhere to all health and safety guidelines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal spills
  • Communicate effectively both written and verbally.
  • Make decisions and complete tasks with little or no supervision.
  • Respond to changing situations in a flexible manner.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism
  • Read, write and speak the English language.
  • Compassionate, respectful, ethical
  • High school degree or GED preferred.
  • Must have Valid and current Drivers License and acceptable motor vehicle record.
  • Must be able to pass a DHS background study. EOA/AA
  • You must be at least 18 years of age.
