Job Summary

Performs all duties related to the processing of material, objects, or articles to be cleaned, plated or dried before and after processing. Includes movement of materials, supplies, equipment such as racks, trays, baskets, barrels, and other containers to and from production work areas. Responsibilities also include loading/unloading containers, transporting racks and fixtures, supplying process workers, and facilitating the production process.

• Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and the employee handbook.
• Transport materials and objects to be processed to and from work processing areas.
• Transport various types of equipment (hooks, racks, trays, containers, barrels, etc.) to the process area to enable efficient processing.
• Load and unload containers holding work to be processed; move processed work to/from process working areas.
• Operate, tend, load, and unload centrifugal spiral drying machines and heating ovens.
• Perform miscellaneous labor processes essential for making material ready for processing and provide assistance after processing.
• Maintain cleanliness and good housekeeping in all worked areas.
• Properly care for and efficiently use all materials, objects, and equipment.
• Report to supervisor for instruction, direction, and supervision.
• Properly handle customer materials and containers during and after processing.
• Perform sufficient work so production workers meet specified production schedules.
• Ask questions when unsure of a task.
• Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

• Tolerance for bending, standing, and walking for long periods.
• 20-20 vision with or without prescribed eyeglasses; speaking ability and hearing accuracy.
• Manual dexterity; able to move or carry up to 50 lbs. frequently.
• Capability to work on the shop floor all day.
