Location: Manitowoc, WI
Position Type: Full-Time
Shift: 2 nd Shift (2pm – 10pm Monday through Friday)
Starting Pay: $21.50 + $2.00 Shift Premium
Position Overview: We are looking for a highly motivated and safety‑focused Fabrication Technician III to join our team. This role is responsible for operating and adjusting a wide range of fabrication equipment, performing precision inspections, and supporting continuous improvement efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and adjust fabrication equipment including Roll former, CNC Turret, Brake Press, Welder, Laser Machine, Aluminum Machining equipment, and CNC machining centers.
- Set up cutting operations and select appropriate cutting programs.
- Make necessary adjustments to downloaded programs.
- Use precision measuring tools to perform accurate dimensional inspections.
- Identify, document, and report defects or questionable material conditions.
- Train new team members on fabrication processes and equipment.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen events, value stream mapping, layout planning).
- Share ideas to improve productivity, reduce downtime, and enhance efficiency.
- Embrace and adapt to process improvements and operational changes.
- Maintain safety as the highest priority at all times.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- CNC machining experience required
- Experience with Haas vertical milling centers preferred
- Fabrication or manufacturing experience is beneficial but not required
